★Description★
Drilling mud gun is an auxiliary equipment in the mud system of a drilling rig. It co-works with the mud agitator to prevent the mud from precipitating and help mud mixing. Mud gun is also taken as the tool of mud conveying between tank compartments. The mud flows out of the nozzle at a certain pressure generated by the mud pump or the sand pump. The introduction of the mud gun has highly improved the drilling efficiency and reduced man work of tank cleaning.
★Structure★
The structure of a drilling mud gun is very simple. It just has the valve, pipe, nozzle, and connection parts. The nozzles can be 3 in fix type or 1 in 360°rotation type.
★Working Principle★
The drilling mud flows into the mud gun pipe at a high pressure generated by pumps, then it sprays out through the nozzles. The flowing and high pressure drilling mud stirs the solids evenly and prevent sedimentation.
